It is so easy to get overwhelmed and stressed out about the little things in life. Working up in your career, paying the bills, and supporting a family are all important aspects of our daily lives. However, it is so easy to let those aspects consume our lives. Are we simply living to go to work another day? Is a paycheck really what brings us happiness in life? When we begin to look at our life through a bigger lens, it is much easier to determine our true values in life. This will help us live with a sense of purpose and peace. We will be able to reduce our stress in life, truly appreciate each day, and start looking at life in the big picture.
Don’t Stress The Little Things
So, a car cut you off on the freeway, you spilled coffee on your pants, and you’re running late for work. These all sound like stressful things. This could easily be the beginning of a very bad day. However, it doesn’t have to be. These are simply moments that make up our day to day lives. Our lives consist of good things and bad things. Life is messy. When we choose to focus on an overall goal of happiness and internal peace, it will be easier to see these stressors as only minor things. Finding beauty in this mess of life is another way of looking at it in the big picture. Our lives are simply compilations of moments and memories. If we can find the positive in them, we can reduce our daily stress and increase our personal happiness.
Find Purpose In Each Day
The big picture in life should be maximizing our own happiness. When this is our purpose, it is easier to ignore the negativity that threatens that state of mind. Wake up in the morning with a sense of purpose. Live your life to the fullest instead of just going through the motions. If you were to ask yourself if you were truly happy with your life, would the answer be yes? If not, there is a good chance that your daily routine is lacking purpose. It can be easy to get overwhelmed with what we “have” to do each day but living by simply checking off boxes is not fulfilling. Finding your purpose does not have to be something huge. It can simply be a passion that gets you excited to get out of bed every morning.
Happiness Is In The Big Picture
I think it’s safe to say that most of us simply want to be happy in life. It doesn’t matter what we have, who are friends are, or where we work. If we are truly happy in life, it means we value and appreciate the life we are living. We find the good in each day. We have things we are looking forward to. And, we understand that living a life of true fulfillment starts from within. When we start looking at life in the big picture, we are able to focus on this goal of happiness much more. Our vision of the future becomes clearer. As we begin to map out our life, we are able to choose how we want it to look. By viewing life in the big picture, we take control back and become the writers of our own story.
